Comin' Up Dry

Oh dear...do I have bloggers' block? I want to post but nothing comes to mind! Oh blah!
I have some photos I've been taking of our garden that I can share with you for starts and then just see where this all goes. I feel like I'm treading water.

This is a sweet little Columbine plant that is returning from last years' planting. It has many blooms this year.

The first rose bloom of the season. Roses aren't supposed to do too well here on the north coast due to all the moisture. But so far, this one is doing quite well!

Red Hot Poker's first blooms. This plant is a couple years old and this is the first time it has bloomed. Such a surprise!
 
These are some bush bean seedlings that I just transplanted from six packs a couple of days ago. I don't know if I'll leave them in the pot or move them to the raised garden bed later. I'll see how they do in the pots for awhile. Have you ever grown these in a container? I'm used to in-ground gardening myself so haven't much experience with growing veggies in containers.

Isn't this gorgeous?! It's growing on my neighbor's fence across the way. The flowers look exactly like dog wood flowers but I've never seen a dog wood vine. Have you?
The only dog woods I'm familiar with are shrubs. One more thing to look up in my Sunset encyclopedia.
