A Day At The Ocean (part 2)

We see lots different people at the beaches here on any given day. Each time we go to the beach, we see other Ocean lovers like ourselves. People are quiet, contemplative here at the North Coast of California. The Ocean seems to mesmerize us and we are washed of all earthly cares and concerns. At least for the moment. It is peaceful here at the Ocean.

I can recall those peaceful feelings of the day I took these photos, each time I look at them. May you find that peaceful place inside as you browse here.

The Gypsy In My Soul

I get so many hits on my Modern Day Gypsies post that I thought I'd share this site with you that I found a year or so ago. I love Gypsy caravans and the Gypsy way of life. I know it must be in my blood for all of the times I've moved from place to place in my life time.

These caravans are in France and are lodgings where you can relax and stay a while.

Be sure to click on all of the tabs at the top of the page for more photos and information.  I wish I could tell you I'd been to these lovely caravans and loved it, but I have not. Only in my dreams. I hope you get a chance to check them out first hand. But if not, you too can dream.

Winter On The Coast

It's been quite rainy here lately. Just before the rain, I managed to get some photos of the fishing boats in the little harbor here.

You can see the fog bank on the horizon.

The gulls wait patiently for a snack.



It's a quiet, lazy day at our house. Rainy days tend to be like that. Just five more weeks and two days till the first day of Spring! I'm ready....are you? Gotta go stoke up the fire, so I'll say so-long for now.

Rainy Day Musings

I had been having a hard time getting back to my blog after three weeks away from it. Then this gentle doe came by our house this morning.  I will put up these photos I took of her. She was very cautious and looked like she was walking on coals as she went from our back yard, across our front yard and then crossed the road to the thicket on the other side. Such a gentle spirit.

I decided to spend some time visiting other blogs to find some inspiration. I came upon Garden Bliss,  Angela Carmichael's blog over at blogspot.
